Soundgarden

Soundgarden (@Soundgarden) is a four piece Seattle alternative metal band that is considered of the “big four” of grunge music. While their sound differs from other Seattle bands, they are largely considered a heavy metal band. The band experienced its biggest success with Badmotorfinger and Superunknown in the mid 90’s.

Soundgarden broke up in 1997 following the release of their album Down on the Upside. Chris Cornell moved on with the band Audioslave from 2001-2007.

Following Cornell’s solo career, Soundgarden reformed in 2010 to critical and fan praise. In 2012, they released their first album since 1997’s Down on the Upside, King Animal.

In 2014 Soundgarden announced a huge co-headlining tour with Nine Inch Nails.
