by Mike Lawrence on October 31, 2014

This week features new songs mostly from lesser known or underground metal acts like The Flight Of Sleipnir, Sahhr, Hammercult, Cripper and The Crown.  There are also some new music videos from a couple of metal heavyweights that you definitely won’t want to miss.  This time around, there is a great mix of different metal styles and sounds so there should be at least one song that every metal fan can enjoy.  Make sure to take a listen to some of the lesser known stuff.  You might find something new for your collection.

There is a lot going on in this song but it is all awesome.  “Gullveig” has both beautiful atmospheres and super heavy portions.  The harsh vocals are perfectly placed and every element flows well.  If you are looking for something a bit different, give The Flight Of Sleipnir a shot.

7.  Artist: Sahhr  Song: “Altar of Maggots”  Album: Altar Of Maggots EP (2014)  Genre: Blackened Death Metal

The debut 3-song EP from Sahhr is amazing.  We’re definitely looking forward to a full length from this band.  The EP is releasing today via Domestic Genocide Records.  This is the perfect new record for Halloween.  To see what you’ll be in for if you decide to purchase the EP, check out the title track below.  You can also read our short review of the EP HERE.
